The WISE Foundation
Founder: Jayda Swim
The WISE Foundation is a new initiative started by Jayda Swim, the Philanthropy Chair of WISE. On February 1st at the Caribbean History event, the WISE Foundation was announced for the very first time.
Every year in the Caribbean, our islands are devastated with natural disasters such as hurricanes, droughts, floods, tsunamis, and earthquakes. Relief efforts are a huge part of the health and safety of the West Indians in these awful situations. With each natural disaster that occurs in the Caribbean, the WISE Foundation donates exactly 50% of the current balance to relief efforts by organizations such as Red Cross.
This is a way for the WISE Philanthropy Team to broaden from local volunteer efforts to volunteer efforts that connect to our homes in the Caribbean.
